Station Spotlights

Northstar Commuter Rail provides a critical link for commuters along one of the most congested and fastest growing corridors in Minnesota. Each station offers distinctive amenities and resources for commuters, surrounding communities and local businesses, including convenient connections to other transit options and area activities. Northstar stations also provide easy access for pedestrians, bicycles and vehicle traffic, and are located near Highway 10 and other major thoroughfares – allowing commuters from surrounding communities quick and stress-free access to Northstar.

Northstar trains are operated by Metro Transit and train schedules are set to provide service from Big Lake to downtown Minneapolis during peak commuting times. Northstar provides weekend and some special event service, giving Northstar corridor residents a convenient alternative to driving and parking downtown. Northstar is part of a larger, regional transit system that extends from Bloomington to St. Cloud and surrounding areas of the state. The system includes Metro Transit bus and light rail service and other coach and shuttle service.
